How to Obtain a Zumba® Instructor License in Idaho

Registering for a Zumba® instructor course is easier than ever before, whether you live in Boise, Meridian or another area in Idaho. With the high demand for Zumba® instructors all across the country, you'll find plenty of opportunities to sign up for a training session.

The training session you'll sign up for is Zumba® Basic 1. This energetic and intense training course will provide you with all of the choreography, music and materials you'll use to instruct your Zumba® classes. For attending the training, you'll receive a digital instructor manual, fitness certification credits and a Zumba® Basic 1 certification after completion of the training session.

You can participate in an in person Zumba® Basic 1 training session near you to begin your Zumba® instructor journey. You'll interact with other future Zumba® instructors during your training course that share your goal of inspiring others in your community through dance and fitness. You can register for in person training sessions near you to become a Licensed Zumba® Instructor. Once you register you'll receive confirmation emails that explain more information about the training agenda and other important details to help you prepare for the course.

There are two virtual licensing options for Zumba® instructor training, which are wonderful for people who can't attend the closest in person training or would like to attend the training from home. The online trainings will still be as intense and energizing as the in person option, so be ready to sweat and learn all you need to know about teaching Zumba®!

The on demand instructor training offers 10 hours of educational Zumba® content you can complete on your own schedule. The training includes 16 training modules, you'll have access to a training instructor, a trial membership of the Zumba® Instructor Network (ZIN™) and your Zumba® Instructor License, once you finish the Zumba® instructor on demand training.

The livestreamed Zumba® instructor training takes between is an 8 hour, one day training and allows you to connect with other course participants and the training instructor in real time. You'll access this training via Zoom and have your instructor license after you complete the training.

All you'll need for the online training sessions is a computer, internet access and enough space to dance and move around.

A fantastic resource to take advantage of after you have your Zumba® instructor license is the Zumba® Instructor Network, also known as ZIN™. ZIN™ offers valuable resources and support to Zumba® instructors worldwide. With a membership, you'll be able to enhance your teaching abilities and continually grow your Zumba® instructor skills.

When you join ZIN™, you'll:

Becoming a ZIN™ member will help you continue your Zumba® career for a long time. As long as you're in good standing, you'll have a valid Zumba® instructor license throughout your membership.

Am I Too Old to Be a Zumba® Instructor?

Nope! As long as you're over the age of 18 and have the physical abilities to instruct a high energy Zumba® class, you are welcome to obtain your Zumba® Instructor License. Taking multiple Zumba® classes every week will help prepare you for teaching multiple experience levels of Zumba® and improve your physical fitness.

When Does My License Expire?

A Zumba® Basic 1 Training license expires after six months. If you have a ZIN™ membership, your license will last as long as you're a member in good standing.

What Items Should I Bring to Instructor Training?

You should bring water, a snack or lunch, a towel and a sweatshirt if you're attending an in person training. You should also have a supportive pair of sneakers. Have anything you would bring to a normal Zumba® class to your training session.
