Are there any prerequisites to become a Zumba® Instructor?
No, however it helps if you've already taken a Zumba® class before, or if you have previous experience in teaching group exercise classes.
Do I need any special equipment or supplies for the online program
To participate in Zumba Basic 1 On Demand, you must have access to a computer with internet access (and room to dance in!)
What is the difference between the Zumba license and the ZIN membership?
When you complete the Zumba Instructor Licensing program, you will receive the license to teach Zumba for 6 months. As long as you're a Zumba Instructor Network member in good standing, your license will never expire. The Zumba® Instructor Network is a monthly membership program created to give you ongoing support and tools for success. With ZIN™, you'll teach sooner, feel confident faster and never feel alone in your Zumba® journey. Your ZIN Membership is what gives you an unlimited license to teach Zumba classes as long as you're a member in good standing, new music and choreography every month that you can use to teach your classes, all of the marketing tools you need to promote your classes on social media and get new students, access to the online teaching tools that allows you to teach online and take payment, many opportunities for continued education like Cue like a Pro and Pro Skills trainings, and community support.
Do I have to renew my ZIN™ Membership after I finish the program?
If you take advantage of the membership auto-renew discount, you will have ongoing, uninterrupted access to all ZIN™ Membership tools once you complete the online program. This membership renews automatically but can be cancelled at any time.
Is this program available in other countries and languages?
Currently, Zumba Basic 1 On Demand is available in all countries, and in English, Spanish, Korean, German, Italian, French, Indonesian, Portuguese and Russian.
How long is the instructor license good for?
The Instructor Licensing Program gives you an instructor license to teach Zumba classes for 6 months. However, as long as you are a ZIN™ Member in good standing, your license to teach Zumba classes will not expire.
What happens after the training?
After completing the Instructor Training, you can begin teaching whenever you feel comfortable and ready. Instructors act as independent contractors, giving you the freedom to set your own schedule, rates, and terms + agreements.
