Riverside, It's Time to Unleash Your Power
There's a certain kind of energy that flows through Riverside — the warmth of those sun-drenched afternoons, the rhythm of Main Street on a First Thursday, the pride of a city known as the Birthplace of California's Citrus Industry. Here in the heart of the Inland Empire, we at Zumba see a community that already knows how to move, celebrate, and come together. So we're bringing something special your way: the chance to become a Licensed Zumba Instructor and share that joy with everyone around you.
Riverside has always been a place where big things start from small seeds. In 1873, a few navel orange cuttings planted by Eliza Tibbets sparked a citrus gold rush that transformed Southern California. We love that story, because it mirrors what we believe at Zumba: one spark of passion can grow into something that changes lives. Your decision to step into a training room could be that very seed.
A City of Arts, Innovation, and Movement
This is the City of Arts & Innovation, and it wears that title proudly. From the dazzling Spanish Gothic beauty of The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa to the groundbreaking collection at The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture, Riverside knows how to celebrate creativity. The Fox Performing Arts Center keeps the stage lights glowing, and the Riverside Art Museum keeps imaginations alive. Zumba belongs in a city like this — where self-expression is a way of life and where every person has their own story to tell through movement.
Picture it: the view from Mount Rubidoux at sunrise, the glow of the Festival of Lights sweeping across Main Street, the open-air buzz of the Downtown Pedestrian Mall. Now imagine bottling all that vibrant Riverside spirit and pouring it into a room full of people ready to dance. That's exactly what a Zumba class feels like — a party with a purpose, where fitness and fun become one and the same.
Why Become a Licensed Zumba Instructor?
Riverside is a community of doers — home to UC Riverside, California Baptist University, and tens of thousands of hardworking people across healthcare, education, and green innovation. Whether you're a student at RCC looking for a side passion, a healthcare professional who wants to give back in a new way, or simply someone who lights up when the music starts, becoming a Zumba Instructor opens the door to a life-changing path. You'll set your own schedule, build real community, and get paid to do what you love.
At our Zumba Basic 1 trainings, you'll learn the foundational rhythms, essential choreography, and class formula that turn everyday enthusiasm into confident leadership — all guided by an experienced Zumba Education Specialist (ZES). No dance experience required. All you need is the willingness to move and the heart to inspire others. By the end, you'll walk out ready to teach, with the credentials to back you up.
And it doesn't stop with adults. If you dream of lighting up the next generation, our Zumba Kids & Zumba Kids Jr. training shows you how to bring that infectious energy to younger movers — perfect for a family-focused community like Riverside.
