People who have their Zumba® License are free to teach classes in a variety of ways in California. You can choose to teach in person at a gym, dance studio, schools, corporate offices and other health facilities, or you can instruct your Zumba® class virtually.
Licensed Zumba® Instructors are independent contractors, which means you can often create your schedule and set rates for your classes. If you're teaching in person at a gym as a group fitness instructor, you'll likely be given a schedule and receive a flat rate for your classes.
