There are 3 different ways you can take your Zumba® Instructor training course and earn a Zumba® Instructor License. You can take the Zumba® instructor course from the comfort of your own living room via a comprehensive 8-hour livestream training, that will also teach you everything you need to know about attracting, teaching and engaging with students! Finally, you can take the course at your own pace, at a time that is convenient for you, by signing up for the on-demand version of the course. This is a 10-hour interactive program, upon completion you will receive your Zumba® Instructor License.
Aside from being 18 years or older, there are no prerequisites to becoming a Zumba® instructor. If you meet that standard, you can sign up for a Zumba® instructor training. Your first step is to register for a Zumba® Instructor Training.
This course will teach you the foundations of Zumba® and the basics of teaching this fun form of exercise. In general, your Zumba® instructor training will be a combination of information and practical training that will give you all the skills you'll need to lead people in Zumba® classes. After you finish the course successfully, you'll get a six-month license to teach Zumba® classes.
The minimum requirement to become a personal trainer in New Mexico is adequate knowledge of the fitness technique you want to specialize in. Typically, trainers demonstrate their knowledge of the exercise technique they want to teach by getting licensed or certified in that specific area.
