Zumba® Instructor Requirements

Being at least 18 is the only requirement for taking a Zumba® instructor training . If you're 18 years or older, you can sign up for whatever Zumba® instructor training you want. To get started on the right foot, enroll in the Zumba® Basic 1 training. This starter course will teach you the fundamentals of Zumba® and leading group exercise classes.

Your basic Zumba® instructor training will feature a mix of lectures and practical training to help you grasp what Zumba® is, the strategies for teaching the technique and how to put these strategies into action. Once you've completed your Zumba® instructor training, you'll be ready to lead classes on your own. At this point, you will receive your Zumba® license and begin working with clients.

Montana State Requirements for Dance Fitness Instructors
