Zumba® Instructor Requirements

As long as you are 18 years or older, you can sign up for any Zumba® instructor training course you'd like. This age requirement is the only qualification for participating in Zumba® instructor training. Start by enrolling in the Zumba® instructor training course (called Zumba® Basic 1), which will go over the fundamentals of Zumba® and teaching it to others.

This Zumba® instructor training will include both lectures and practical training to help you understand the basics of Zumba® and practice your teaching skills. After you finish your training, you will be fully equipped to work with clients. You will also get your Zumba® Instructor License and have the confidence to lead Zumba® classes on your own.

Missouri State Requirements for Dance Fitness Instructors

If you want to become a dance fitness instructor in Missouri, you will need to have a license relevant to the technique you plan on teaching.
