Stories That Inspire
"I chose to teach Zumba Gold because of the community that it reaches. It reaches an older active community and it reaches new students perhaps starting off in Zumba that may want to give it a try, at maybe a slower pace."
"My first class actually was a Gold class with 44 people and I remember almost being frozen at front but once the music started, nothing else mattered and the rest is history from there. Gold is actually my favorite format."
"Zumba Gold helped me offer a fitness format that was fun for the people who have never done any type of fitness or were a little bit older or had issues with their joints and muscles and to reach them, Zumba Gold is the perfect format and I love teaching Zumba Gold"

Students ages 15 to 17 may attend the Zumba® Gold senior dance fitness instructor on their own with a parent letter and a signed liability form. If you're between 15 and 17 years old, please contact the trainer for your Instructor Training to coordinate receiving the letter from your parent and the liability form signed at the Instructor Training.
The Zumba® Gold instructor training focuses exclusively on equipping participants to teach senior fitness dance classes. The Zumba® + Gold: Dual Licensing Program prepares you to teach Zumba® classes as well as Zumba® Gold senior classes.
In the Zumba® + Gold: Dual Licensing Program, you'll learn the foundations of Zumba® Basic 1 and how to apply them to senior dance fitness classes and chair movement classes. You'll also learn the specialized skills needed to teach this population so you can get started with Zumba®, Zumba® Gold and Zumba Gold Chair classes as soon as you receive your license.
The Zumba Instructor Training (also known as Zumba Basic 1) is a high-energy training session where you'll learn the basic Zumba rhythms as well as multiple variations. This Instructor Training gives you the groundwork you need to teach Zumba class.
If you wish to teach a lower-intensity Zumba class to active older adults, beginners, or special populations, then we recommend you take the Zumba® + Gold: Dual Licensing Program. The Zumba® + Gold: Dual Licensing Program combines the Zumba Gold® Training with the foundation and formula of a Zumba® Basic Level 1 Training.
The Zumba® + Gold: Dual Licensing Program addresses the anatomical, physiological and psychological needs crucial to teaching the active older adult population*. It is designed for instructors-to-be who are passionate about teaching Zumba Gold® classes (versus basic Zumba classes) and want to “jump start” their Zumba Gold career. This course allows instructors-to-be to become licensed in both the Zumba Basic and Zumba Gold programs in one extended 10-hour Instructor Training.
