Hello! I'm Marie Kube, and I live in St. Paul, MN. I've been a ZIN™ Member since Jun 2019 and I absolutely love teaching Zumba classes. The reason is simple: Every class feels like a party! -Classes are designed for any gender.
-Playlist changes weekly including Salsa, Merengue, Reggaeton, Cumbia, Bachata and more.
-Zumba® suave dance fitness classes
are smooth and focused on dance moves that are intended to be more friendly to
the joints and the whole body, while giving you a fun workout.
-Drink water to stay hydrated. Take a break if needed; just try to keep moving so your heart rate and blood pressure do not drop too rapidly.
-I will be facing you, so follow me
like a mirror image. I will give you visual cues like
hand signals to indicate what moves to do and in which direction.
-I have PTSD and that makes it
easier for me and others like me to be startled, which is an involuntary
response that one has little or no control over. That means I will not yell or
shout at you or stick my tongue out at you. I let you
enjoy the awesome music. Thank you for understanding.
-You may notice a few splices between video segments. I use editing software to splice video segments because the camera can only record for about 17 min. at a time and then it
splits into separate files and cuts out a few seconds of sound in between the
parts. But I'm still doing the whole hour-long class with you!
-Listen to your body and your
healthcare practitioner to modify any moves to what is good for you. You can
progress moves by increasing range of motion and intensity; and you can also do
the opposite to make it easier. Keep your knees behind your toes and keep your feet facing out slightly and not in.
-Let’s warm up and then dance! Clear a safe space to dance. Wear aerobics, cross-training, court, or Zumba® shoes that provide lateral support and allow you to twist and turn. Wear Dancesocks if you are on carpet.
