I started taking Zumba classes many moons ago to assist with keeping fit. As a larger lady shall we say, I didn't feel at home in the gym where there only seemed to be gorgeous girls flirting with gorgeous musclebound fellas. Running or jogging just didn't appeal to me in the slightest (and yes I have tried it and cycling but that hurts your bum!). Having had dance classes as a kid and LOVING them and reading up about Zumba; I decided to give it a whirl! Here I am, still whirling all those years later! I loved the sense of freedom it gave me, I didn't have to worry about how I looked or what I wore because no one cared! No one was interested in being mean or passing judgement! People were there just having fun and being friendly and moving! No one cared that some moved slower than others or faster or in the wrong direction. There was music blasting and people letting go of their inhibitions and it was AWESOME! One of my instructors pushed me to take the Zumba training so I did! So, here we are! I hope you will find my classes friendly, non threatening and non judgmental. I dont care about colour, size, ability, age. I care about you having fun and moving your body in way that works for you! Why? Because EVERY body is an amazing body! So lets get moving and have some fun!
