Hi there! My name is Jenny Baird and most people call me Jenny B. I am in Salt Lake City Utah and teach 100% of my classes virtually using the Zoom platform.
My goal is that you have a streamlined experience and excellent sound experience. I have spent countless hours making sure my set up will do this. I want you to be more concerned with getting the dance moves right then worried about technical issues! I love teaching classes that are really cardio intensive with a deep stretch after to work the calves, IT bands, glutes, shoulders, spine and core. I also listen to my students song suggestions of the ones you like best! I slowly change out songs usually every other week by changing out one song at a time. This way you can get to know the routine but also keep things fresh and keep you on your toes!
A few housekeeping things to keep in mind:
• Wear Shoes and bring water! You will sweat
• Use the most powerful laptop or PC you have (phones not recommended for real time data/music transfers and could stall out or have poor quality, but you can try and see how it goes! It has worked for a few people.)
• Fast internet recommended. You can also have your computer as close to your router as possible, turn off anything else that is taking up WIFI, and ideally use an Ethernet cable attached to your computer directly to the router.
• Use quality speakers if you can. The better your speakers are the better the music will sound. But use what you have just take note that good speakers=good music sound! It makes a big difference in sound quality which I feel makes a difference in the overall experience.
I will be on Zoom at least 10 minutes before the start of class to give you time to log in and troubleshoot. I will automatically have you on mute during the class. Make sure you are connected to WIFI so you are not using up your data to maximize the video and sound quality. Please PIN my video to enlarge it in Zoom so you will be viewing just me. You can choose to have your video on during class but remember that it may slow down your video and may cause lag. To minimize the lag, turn your video OFF and get as close to your WiFi source as possible.
