Hello! I'm Amanda Welti, and I am a native of South Africa now residing in the USA since 1997. I started teaching group fitness in 1982 and have since then lived in four different countries including South Africa, the UK, Turkey and now the USA. I am seasoned in teaching Hi/Lo aerobics, step aerobics, yoga, muscle conditioning, Zumba®Fitness as well as Strong by Zumba™ I currently reside in Southern California with my husband and 18 year old daughter. I also have 2 son's aged 27 and 29 who are spreading their wings as adults. My passion for teaching Zumba® since April 2007 is inspired by my daughter who has autism and who thoroughly enjoys every aspect of this format. It has enhanced her social, emotional and academic levels tremendously over the years. She became a licensed Zin™ December 2018 and now co teaches classes with me. I started hosting Zumbathon® Charity Events in 2010 in honor of her and her disability and then proceeded to continue making my community better on the Zumba® platform by leading at charity events with my daughter by my side. Another great passion of mine has always been to mentor and help newbie Instructors get started in the group fitness industry so I developed a workshop which was approved by AFAA as a continuing education course called "Learn to become a group fitness professional'. This has been instrumental in giving anyone who sets out to become a group fitness instructor, the basic foundational tools both practical and theoretical, to designing a class from scratch. Please check out my schedule and come and take a class with me. You may also access my personal Online Fitness Website www.amandasworkouts.com for access to my On Demand General Fitness and Zumba®️Classes. My goal is to inspire you to find the fun that lies hidden in fitness. xoxoxo
