Hello! I'm Anne-Claire Delavaquerie, and I live in Athenry, West of Ireland.
I was born in France, where I started Ballet when I was 3 years old.
Then, at 13, I started dancing in front my mirror to the songs on the radio... instead of doing my homework!
At 16, I started Modern-Jazz and fell in love with this extra freedom of movement and opportunity to dance on different styles of music. Plus my dance teacher was simply great & creative!
After moving to Galway for College in September 2001, I took Bellydance and African dance classes, as well as practicing Yoga.
The best part of 2006? Being involved in the "Project 06"! This was a side-festival off Galway's Arts Festival, organised by local artists.
With a few friends, we created & choregraphed "Taxi Rank"; a 20-minute musical journey through the streets of Galway, in a Taxi, visiting several countries & as many dance styles (with song from Shakira, Juanes, Madonna, Bell X1, etc).
We took this show for a longer 45-minute version to Galway's Town Hall Studio, adding more songs & countries!
Fast-forward to 2014, when with my family we moved to Athenry and I joined the local gym where there were Zumba classes, twice a week!
Just like for Modern-Jazz, I fell in love with the concept of dancing to radio-friendly songs, as well as discovering the Latin rhythms (and practice my Spanish!) and simply having fun while dancing!
I've been a ZIN™ Member since DEC 2017 and I absolutely love teaching Zumba classes.
The reason is simple: Every class feels like a party!
But due to (minor) family issues & Lockdown, I am currently on a in-person teaching-hiatus...
However, you can still practice with me: from home!
Find me on Zumba.dance, with FREE classes On-Demand, everyday!

I created all these choreographies with Zumba & home-dancing fun in mind; no complicated moves, promise!
