The Zumba Academy provides many opportunities for fitness and dance instructors to learn how to teach Zumba classes. New students, aspiring to be first-time instructors, are also welcome to begin their teaching journey with the Zumba program.

Anyone interested in becoming a Zumba Instructor must attend a Zumba Instructor Training Workshop, and then must keep their instructor status current through the variety of courses offered by the Zumba Academy.

The first step in becoming a Zumba Instructor is to attend one of these basic courses: Zumba Basic Steps Level 1 or Zumba Gold.

Zumbatomic®

Kids love to crank up the music, shake, wiggle and have a blast with their friends. So why not get fit while they're at it? This course teaches you how to fuse the Zumba program's exciting formula with the psychology and physiology relevant to teaching kids. You'll learn how to modify Zumba moves to get optimal results, and receive tips on discipline and class management. Designed for ages 4-12. Prerequisite: Must be a current Zumba Instructor and member of the Zumba Instructor Network (ZIN™).
